Trump urges: The House of Representatives should pass the stablecoin bill "GENIUS Act" as soon as possible, no delays allowed!
U.S. President Donald Trump ( stated this morning ) on his social platform Truth Social that he demands the House of Representatives to quickly pass the stablecoin bill "GENIUS Act" and send it to the White House for him to sign and complete the legislation.
The "GENIUS Act" overwhelmingly passed in the Senate.
The stablecoin bill "GENIUS Act" was proposed by Republican Senator Bill Hagerty, primarily to establish a legal issuance and payment mechanism for stablecoins within the United States. It is also seen as a policy advancement for the United States to solidify the dollar's position in the global financial system. The Senate overwhelmingly passed this bill on 6/18 with a vote of 68 to 30.
Trump posted urging the House of Representatives to pass it immediately, don't delay, don't add any extras.
On June 19, Trump posted on Truth Social saying:
"The Senate has just passed an amazing bill that will make the United States the undisputed global leader in the field of digital assets."
Then strongly urge the House of Representatives:
"Get it through immediately! Deliver it to my desk quickly, no delays, no extra ingredients!"
The bill has entered the voting stage in the House of Representatives, and the attitude of the Democratic Party has become the biggest variable.
The "GENIUS Act" is about to move to a vote in the House of Representatives. Although the Republicans have a slight majority in the House, there is still uncertainty about whether the bill will pass smoothly.
The issue arose when Democratic Party members questioned the relationship between Trump and the cryptocurrency industry, causing the bill agenda to be blocked multiple times. Whether it will be modified or delayed again now still depends on whether the Democratic Party chooses to loosen its grip or propose amendments again.
