Ethereum client Geth v1.9.13 released with a 10% performance improvement
The Ethereum development team recently announced the release of the latest version of the network client Geth v1.9.13. This update brings several important improvements aimed at enhancing network performance and user experience.
The new version introduces an innovative snapshot format, which is not enabled by default but lays the foundation for future optimizations. In terms of performance, block processing speed has achieved an improvement of about 10%, which will help enhance the overall throughput and responsiveness of the network.
In addition, the development team has expanded the transaction size limit from the previous 64 KB to 128 KB, providing more space for more complex smart contract interactions. Another notable improvement is that the new version now supports running HTTP and WebSocket services simultaneously on the same port, simplifying the configuration work for node operators.
These updates reflect Ethereum's ongoing commitment to improving its infrastructure to meet the growing network demands and user expectations.
