A Man Loses 800 Bitcoin After His Laptop is Reset by a Friend**

Gabriel Abed, a businessman from Barbados, lost 800 Bitcoin, which is now valued at approximately US$92 million or Rp1.48 trillion. This happened because his partner accidentally reformatted the laptop that stored the private key of his Bitcoin wallet in 2011.
Nevertheless, the 800 Bitcoins that were lost turned out to be just a small fraction of the total Bitcoins that he had bought and sold over the years thereafter. This is because he remained enthusiastic about learning about Bitcoin and saw this technology as a way out of the financial limitations in his country.
Before the arrival of Bitcoin, residents of Barbados like him struggled to access digital financial services commonly used in developed countries, such as credit cards, bank accounts, and even PayPal accounts.
However, the open and decentralized nature of Bitcoin gives him full access to the digital financial world for the first time. For Abed, the risk of being his own 'bank' is worth the freedom to manage his own money and to be a global citizen without boundaries.
Abed's financial success in the crypto world continues, and the profits he earned from trading Bitcoin enabled him to purchase a 100-hectare beachfront property in Barbados for over US$25 million.
This shows that although Abed experienced significant losses at the beginning, he was able to achieve great success thanks to his perseverance in the world of digital assets.
