The head of the digital assets division of the IRS suddenly resigned after only three months in office.
On August 23, Trish Turner, the head of the digital asset division of the IRS, announced her resignation after just over three months in office. She stated on social media on Friday: "After more than 20 years of service at the IRS, I am closing the chapter on this extraordinary career and sincerely thank everyone who has shaped my career path and given meaning to my work. Together, we faced complex challenges, built lasting programs, and laid the groundwork for the IRS's strategy as digital assets move from the margins to the mainstream."
Turner's resignation came just over three months after she was appointed to lead the digital asset department in May this year.
