Nibiru EVM: Overcoming the limitations of Ethereum, achieving high-speed parallel transactions
Overcoming Ethereum's scalability challenges
Nibiru Chain, a groundbreaking smart contract ecosystem, has launched Nibiru EVM, a high-performance Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) execution environment, showcased in its latest v2 version.
The Nibiru plan aims to surpass the current limit of about 20 transactions per second (TPS) on Ethereum, which leads to high fees during congested periods. These limitations hinder developers from building high-performance applications similar to Web2. Nibiru EVM overcomes these limitations by providing a throughput of over 10,000 TPS, even in single-thread execution.
The Nibiru project plans to upgrade the network by the end of 2024 to execute transaction processing in parallel with optimistic concurrency, enabling nodes to utilize additional hardware resources and further enhance the network's transaction processing capabilities.
Drive ecosystem expansion and enhance developer experience
"Being compatible with Ethereum is a key factor in attracting liquidity and promoting the growth of the Nibiru EVM ecosystem. Launching blockchain protocols is the process of building trust and demonstrating practical applications. Innovating and improving the EVM is a key part of our strategy," explained Unique, co-founder of Nibiru.
Ethereum developers occupy more than 90% of the total locked value (TVL) in the smart contract ecosystem, and Nibiru EVM significantly lowers the entry barrier and speeds up development time.
Nibiru EVM provides developers with a powerful and user-friendly environment for seamless interaction between Ethereum tokens and multiple virtual machine applications. This multi-virtual machine approach ensures fast transaction processing and simplified user experience.
Since the launch of the mainnet in March 2024, Nibiru has supported Wasm (Web Assembly) smart contracts written in Rust. The Nibiru EVM provides developers with a high-performance and scalable EVM-compatible execution environment, which plays a crucial role in the future of decentralized applications, driving innovation and mainstream adoption.
